What do I need to bring?
Linens and bath towels are provided with each unit, please bring beach towels. You will also need to bring all food items, personal clothing, toiletries, paper goods, trash bags, dish detergent and laundry detergent.
Can I bring the family pet?
We love pets too! But sorry, no pets are allowed.
Can we grill out on our balcony or patio?
Many rental homes include a grill for cooking. All grills are propane. Operating a charcoal grill is not permitted on property. If you are staying in a condominium, a community grill is available for use (reservation required). Both home rental and condo guests are welcome to use the grill by the pool.
When is check in and check out?
Check out time is 10:00 AM. Check in time is 3:00 PM or later. Housekeeping standards may require extra cleaning time for some properties, which may delay check-in, however, every effort is made to check in guests as quickly as possible.
What are our departure responsibilities?
Guests are asked to load and start the dishwasher, launder a load of towels, and remove all trash from the unit. Turn in keys, swim tags, exercise key, and the golf cart (if included with the home) and have a safe trip home!
Does my vacation property have Internet access?
Many of the rental units provide High Speed DSL. Please consult the detailed description of the property you reserved. Also, Martinique offers a free wireless connection at the Club du Soleil.
Is there a maximum number of vehicles allowed at a property?
Each property has the maximum parking capacity listed on the detailed unit description. Parking guidelines will also be included on the confirmation letter sent to guests when confirming the reservation.
What if there is a hurricane or tropical storm?
In the event that there is a named storm that has Martinique in the projected path, Management will contact all guests with evacuation plans. If you are coming to vacation with us within the same time frame as the storm, we will contact you to postpone your vacation to a later date.
How do I check out?
Turn in the keys at the office. The Martinique office opens at 8:30 AM, 7 days a week. In the event you check out before 8:30 AM, keys should be left with the courtesy officer or the drop box located on the exit side of the gate house.
When do I pay my Initial Reservation Payment?
The initial payment of 1/2 the total amount is due upon making the reservation. The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.
Do you provide cribs or highchairs?
Some of the rental units provide child equipment. Please consult the online detailed property description for details. Visit Gulf Shores baby equipment rental outlets for additional items.
What happens if there is inclement weather or if I decide to leave early?
Sorry, but there are no refunds for early departures. Guests that depart after business hours should turn in keys in to the courtesy officer at the gate house.
What airports are close to Martinique?
The Pensacola Airport is the closest to Martinique. The airport is located approximately 50 miles away. The Mobile Airport is located 73 miles from Martinique.
Can I bring my jet skis, boat, or RV?
Due to limited parking and narrow streets, Martinique does not allow RV’s, boat trailers, or jet skis on property.
Can I make a reservation online?
Reservations can be made online by clicking the reservation link on the website. Tour the site, view the units and choose a property that will accommodate your needs. Each property can be booked from its individual page link.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Travelers checks, money orders & personal checks.
What is your cancellation policy?
Reservations can be changed at no cost if changes are made 30 days prior to your arrival. Cancellations made 30 days (60 days for monthly guests) prior to arrival will forfeit the $30 Booking Fee and the $69 Accidental Rental Property Insurance. In the event the change or cancellation is made within 30 days of the arrival date, a charge of one nights rent or $500, whichever is greater, applies. Forfeiture of the $30 Booking Fee and the $69 Accidental Rental Property Insurance would also apply.
Do you offer travel insurance?
Travel Insurance is offered with every reservation made. Martinique has partnered with AIG Travel Guard. For specific questions about the offered insurance, please contact AIG at 1.888.409.7749.
Can I make long-distance phone calls from the rental property?
Long distance phone calls can only be made with a calling card.
Can I cancel online?
Cancellations are not accepted online. To cancel a reservation, please call the Martinique rental office at and a rental agent will be happy to assist you. Please do not email a cancellation request.
Is a golf cart provided with each property? Who can drive it?
Please check the detailed property description online for the individual property amenities as well as our Gulf Shores resort amenities. Many of the homes provide a golf cart for use. However, some do not. Only licensed drivers are allowed to drive the golf cart. No children can operate or control the golf carts.
