The 17th Annual John L. Borom Alabama Coastal BirdFest in 2020 is October 7-10 in multiple locations throughout Mobile and Baldwin counties.

The birdwatching tradition takes place the first weekend of October when birds are typically in the Gulf Shores area and all along the Alabama Coast during their fall migration.

The 5 Rivers Delta Center will host workshops during the weekend and the Coastal Alabama Community College in downtown Fairhope is host to the Bird & Conservation Expo. All events are free for all ages.

During this nature-filled weekend, you'll not only be able to see migratory birds, but there are also abundant opportunities to see dolphins, alligators, and more local flora and fauna. Visit the Bayou La Batre, Gulf Shores, Forever Wild Grand Bay Savanna, Dauphin Island, and Fort Morgan.

The BirdFest Schedule is expected to be released July 1.
