Oct 8 2021 - 10:00am to Oct 11 2021 - 6:00pm

As of July 15, it was announced that the Annual Shrimp Festival is canceled for 2020 due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. Local officials are already working to plan the 2021 festival.

Located at the Gulf Shores Public Beach, the National Shrimp Festival is a celebration of all variations, species, and styles of shrimp. The four-day event attracts an estimated 300,000 people.

This event brings together 50 local and regional chefs and restaurants serving their favorite shrimp-based creation. There is also roughly 200 art and crafts booths, 100 hours of live entertainment, the Little Miss Shrimp Festival Pageant, the Annual Sand Sculpture Contest, and a 5K and 10K race.
